TTD guesthouses to get facelift

Tirumala: The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) is all set to refurbish guesthouses atop the seven hills within a month.
At a review meeting held here on Tuesday, executive officer (EO) D Sambasiva Rao directed the officials to complete repairs and provide lighting in the guest houses. All the vacant quarters will also get a facelift. Mosquito eradication and cleaning of all drainages in view of the rainy season was also highlighted at the meeting.
Re-entry tokens will be given to devotees in Vaikuntham queue complex (VQC) only when the waiting period is beyond two hours and the same will be informed to pilgrims.
The EO advised officials to ensure a dust-free environment at the Parakamani where coins and notes are counted. TTD will also review the request of Sri Vari sevaks for three laddus at price of Rs 10 each. Meanwhile, the TTD call centre is now available 24 hours.
