HYDERABAD: The student wing of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi, TRS Vidyarthi vibhag, had decided to celebrate the Telangana independence day in a big way.
A rally would be taken out from Babu Jagjivan Ram statue at Basheerbagh to Osmania University Arts college. The rally would culminate into a public meeting which would be addressed by TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao and public representatives forum (PRF) chairman A Narendra.
Announcing this to reporters on Monday, TRSV president K Naresh criticised the government for not celebrating the occasion officially.

Though the independence day of Telangana was celebrated from 1949 to 1956, the same was not done after the region merged with Andhra, he said.
He appealed to the students to participate in the rally and public meeting and celebrate the event.
TRSV incharge G Nagaiah said that the art and culture of Telangana would be displayed throughout the rally. Meanwhile, the party has decided to hoist the national flags at all villages in the ten districts of the region to commemorate the occasion. The Youth wing of the party would organise blood donation camps at all mandal centres.
