TRS protests over paddy at mandal HQs

Hyderabad: Following the call given by TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao to take up protests on paddy procurement across the state, TRS leaders and workers staged protests at all mandal headquarters on Monday. The leaders staged dharnas, burnt effigies and raised slogans against the Centre for not procuring paddy in Yasangi season.
Ministers G Jagadish Reddy, Sabita Indra Reddy, G Kamalakar, E Dayakar Rao, S Niranjan Reddy, Vemula Prashant Reddy, P Ajay and other ministers held demonstrations in their respective districts and constituencies.The leaders addressed the gatherings at the dharna programmes. Agriculture minister S Niranjan Reddy said the Centre lacked vision and farmers were facing the brunt.
