HYDERABAD: The ruling TRS scored a perfect 10 by securing all the 10 municipal corporation chief posts. The party on Wednesday bagged both mayor and

municipal corporation. TRS candidate Y Sunil Rao was elected mayor, while

as deputy mayor.

The indirect elections to municipal corporation chief posts were held on January 27 and 29. Of the 60 divisions in KMC, TRS got 33, BJP 13 and MIM seven. In seven divisions, Independents emerged victorious. TRS got a shot in the arm on Tuesday with all the Independents joining the party. With the help of seven Independents and MIM corporators who were elected, TRS did not require ex-officio members’ support. Soon after the new corporators were sworn in, the 13 BJP corporators walked out even as the process for election of mayor and deputy mayor began.

You know the best part? That Dilli based Con party scored a “ Perfect Zero” in KMC. This despite ganging up with another Dilli based cow party that ended up with unlucky 13. The independant winners were TRS and so were the rebels and all 7 did “ home coming” taking TRS tally to 40. Another great take away is the 3 Con MPs who won came a cropper as except that Bhongir MP Komati under whom the Con party won some small municipalities the other 2 MPs turned utter flops especially that brarded joker who brought in an Andhra chor KVP and both were arrested and worse was that Andhra yellow boot licker out on bail Revanth under whom all municipalities in Malkajgiri LS segment and his alleged native Kodangal municipality were lost to the mighty TRS. The Cows party ADB MP lost it all too. In fact both the Dilli based parties cut a sorry figure and together they won 6 ( Con-4 BJP-2). MIM did much better by winning 2. TRS is invincible.
