Two cops die after car rams into their bike

Hyderabad: Two constables travelling on a bike died after their vehicle was hit by a car from the rear in Gajwel on Sunday morning. The incident took place when they were on their way to participate in a marathon in Hyderabad.
Around 4am, V Parandamulu, 46, and P Venkatesh, 38, — both residents of Siddipet — started their journey on a bike to reach ECIL, where the marathon was scheduled to be held. "When they were at Pandavula Cheruvu in Gajwel, an unknown vehicle hit their bike. Parandamulu was attached to the Raipul police station, while Venkatesh was from Daulathabad," Siddipet police said said.
Police, during the investigation, found that a car hit the bike from the rear. They suspect it was a case of negligent driving. The car driver, D Srinivas of Daulathabad, was taken into custody. At the time of the accident, the bike was driven by Venkatesh.
On learning about the accident, Siddipet police commissioner G Anuradha visited the spot and enquired about the details.
