Top artistes to perform at I-Day festival

HYDERABAD: The department of culture will organise ‘Vandemataram’, a special cultural programme, on the occasion of the Independence Day at the Ravindra Bharati at 6.30 pm.
The programme is being organised as a tribute to the nation and the patriots who got the country liberated from British rulers.
The programme will comprise of singing and instrumental music and is being coordinated by well-known veena and tabla artistes Srinivas and Jawed.
The department of culture said in a press release that the programme will be a first of its kind event in which 20 renowned artistes will be taking part.
Among those who will attend the programme are culture minister T Srinivas Yadav and AP State Cultural Council chairman Dr C Narayana Reddy.
