Three marijuana peddlers arrested

HYDERABAD: Three marijuana peddlers were arrested and 900 grams of contraband worth about Rs 1 lakh was seized from their possession on Tuesday.
Acting on specific information, the Madhapur police raided the residence of Dileep Rao at Patrika Nagar in Madhapur and seized a few packets of ganja in his possession. During interrogation, Dileep told police that he was procuring ganja from two residents of Dhoolpet - Saleem Khan and Sharma.
Based on the information provided by Dileep, police arrested the duo from Dhoolpet and seized 900 grams of ganja packed in 110 sachets. During the interrogation, the peddlers told police that they procured ganja from farmers and agents from Warangal.
The three arrested persons were booked under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act and produced in court.
