Three held for charity cyber fraud

Hyderabad: Three fraudsters, including a Nigerian, were arrested for duping victims in the guise of sending funds for charity.
On February 13 this year, 42-year-old Prashanthi of Yapral lodged a complaint alleging that an unknown offender chatted with her on Twitter and Hangouts about various spiritual matters for a few weeks and after gaining her trust informed about his wish to donate $6.52 lakh to her for charity work in India.
Police seized five mobile phones and 18 debit cards from the trio. TNN
