Telugu actor Venu Madhav passes away

HYDERABAD: Telugu film actor Venu Madhav passed away on Wednesday afternoon. He was undergoing treatment for kidney ailment at a private hospital in Secunderabad. He was on ventilator for a long time. Doctors said he passed away at 12.21pm.

Venu Madhav, popular as a mimicry artist, entered the film industry through the film ‘Sampradayam’ directed by SV Krishna Reddy in 1997. The same year he also acted in ‘Master’.

Venu Madhav also produced a film titled ‘Premabhishekam’ playing the lead role in it. He was introduced as lead actor in the film ‘Hangama’ also directed by SV Krishna Reddy. His other popular films include ‘Toli Prema’, ‘Dil’, ‘Laxmi’, ‘Simhadri’, ‘Chathrapathi’. His last film was ‘Rudramadevi’.

While acting in films, he also appeared as host in several television shows. Some of his other films include ‘Thammudu’, ‘Andhrawala’, ‘Venky’, ‘Shankardada MBBS’ and ‘Mahananandi’.

Venu Madhav, who hails from Kodad in Nalgonda, also tried his luck in politics with his association with Telugu Desam Party (TDP).
