Telangana: 23-year-old house surgeon dies by suicide; man arrested over broken marriage promise

HYDERABAD: A 23-year-old house surgeon posted at the govt hospital in Siddipet died by suicide on Sunday while undergoing treatment, police said.According to Siddipet 3 Town police, the deceased who belonged to the SC community, was found unconscious on the hospital premises on Saturday. She was initially treated at the Siddipet govt hospital and later shifted to NIMS, Hyderabad, where she succumbed during treatment.During the course of the investigation, police learnt that the woman was in a relationship with a man.He allegedly went back on his promise to marry her, citing caste differences. Based on a complaint lodged by her family, police registered a case and arrested the accused and remanded him to judicial custody.
