Telangana: Trans-woman stabbed by lover

WARANGAL: A trans-woman was stabbed by her lover late on Friday night in

Shivanagar

area in

Warangal

town. According to police, Md Abbu was in a relationship with the victim O Saipriya and the two were said to be together for around a year. However, Abbu is said to have started an affair with Sagarika, another transwoman. Saipriya raised an objection to this which led to an argument between the two which is said to have led to Abbu stabbing Saipriya.


Abbu, a native of

Geesukonda

mandal, is said to have threatened Saipriya earlier too. After stabbing Saipriya on Friday night, Abbu fled Shivanagar. A severely injured Saipriya was taken to

MGM Hospital

by her roommates who then lodged a complaint against Abbu.
