HYDERABAD: On the eve of Independence Day, the
Union ministry of home affairs
(MHA) on Saturday announced President Police Medal (PPM) to two officers from Telangana police. Fourteen policemen from Greyhounds will be awarded President’s Medal for Gallantry for their participation anti-naxal operations.
MHA said that additional director-general of police (women safety) Swati Lakra and
Rachakonda
deputy commissioner of police (West Zone Jangoan) Banda Sreenivas Reddy were awarded PPM. Similarly, CRPF inspector general of police Dr Vinay Kumar and
SVP National Police Academy
(SVPNPA) joint director Amit Garg also bagged PPM.
Indian Police Medals (IPM) were awarded to deputy inspector general of police (intelligence) V Siva Kumar, deputy commissioner of police (Madhapur Zone) M Venkateshwarlu, additional superintendent of police (SIB) D Ramesh, Warangal assistant commissioner of police M Jithender Reddy, assistant commissioner of police A Chandra Shekar, deputy commissioner of police M Pitchaiah,
TSSP Battalion
assistant commandant K Sampath Kumar Reddy, assistant sub-inspector (SIB) D Anand Kumar,
RBVRR TS Police Academy
assistant sub-inspector Chandrashekhara Rao, Greyhounds senior commando Mohammed Arif Ali and Kachiguda traffic police station head constable Anil Goud.
