Public hearing on local body quotas from Oct 28
Hyderabad: The Telangana Commission for Backward Classes on Friday issued a notification for conducting public hearings during which it will accept suggestions and objections regarding reservations for local bodies in the state.
The notification is also accessible on the state portal www.telangana.gov.in.
The commission will hold public hearings in the combined districts of Adilabad on Oct 28, Nizamabad (Oct 29) and Sangareddy (Oct 30). The public hearing will take place in Karimnagar on Nov 1, Warangal (Nov 2), Nalgonda (Nov 4), Khammam (Nov 5), Rangareddy (Nov 7), Mahabubnagar (Nov 8) and Hyderabad (Nov 11) at the respective collectorates and integrated district office complexes.
The commission will also conduct public hearings at its office exclusively for NGOs, institutions, and caste and welfare associations on Nov 12; and for the general public on Nov 13.
Alternatively, representations can be submitted in person to the special officer at the commission's office or via post from Oct 18 to Nov 13.
