HYDERABAD: Special prayers were offered at famous Chilkur Balaji temple in Hyderabad by priests led by chief and hereditary priest MV Soundararajan on Wednesday for speedy recovery of noted playback singer, SP Balasubrahmanyam, who is undergoing treatment at Chennai for coronavirus infection.
The Balaji temple known as ‘Visa God’ is situated 25km from Hyderabad city.
“We have sung an important hymn ‘Aditya Hrudayam, to the Sun God, and chanted ‘Narasimha Mantram’ at the sanctum sanctorum of Lord Balaji, at the temple, on the occasion of Shravana Masam, for speedy recovery of the singer, who is on ventilator support,” chief priest Soundararajan told TOI.
The singer is a devotee of Lord Balaji and also sung hundreds of devotional songs on Lord Balaji at this Chilkur temple. On behalf of our devotees, we performed prayers wishing Balasubrahmanyam speedy recovery, he said.
