HYDERABAD: As part of citizen-centric services to customers, Telangana Postal Circle launched customer friendly parcel services, across Telangana.
On Wednesday, PVS Reddy, Postmaster General, Hyderabad Region, Telangana Circle, launched the customer-friendly India Post parcel services at Jangaon Head Post Office,in Jangaon District.
The customers can also avail similar parcel booking services at 5,120 Post Offices in Hyderabad region, through QR Code scan based UPI payment channel.
Parcel packaging machines are provided at 11 locations in Hyderabad Region for uniform, safe and tamper proof packaging, according to assistant director, Postmaster General, Hyderabad region, Ch Ramakrishna.
The customers can book their parcels through 654 franchisee customer service center village level entrepreneurs. Dedicated parcel booking counters are set up at all prominent offices of the Hyderabad Region, said Ramakrishna.
Bulk customers can now track delivery of each and every article booked by them through their dedicated logins. A recall facility of the article for cancelling the delivery is also available for the customers, said the postal official.
Dedicated vehicles arranged for safe transmission from Gadwal & Pochampally and insurance charges have been brought down from 6% to just 1.5% to all bulk customers. The charges for ‘cash on delivery parcels’ has been brought down to 1.6% for collection of an amount up to Rs 6,500, he said
