HYDERABAD: Justice D Nagarjun of the Telangana high court dismissed on Monday a petition filed by the state government challenging the decision of an ACB court that declined to add BJP national general secretary BL Santhosh and three others as accused in the Poachgate case.
The state said its police had filed a memo before the ACB court informing it about the addition of new accused.

"The trial court took upon itself the task of adjudication of the memo, which is unwarranted and needless," advocate general BS Prasad said while putting forward the state's case against the lower court order. The HC judge had reserved his order three weeks ago and pronounced it on Monday. The copy of the order was not available, nor was it uploaded on the court website.
However, in the last three weeks, some changes took place on the ground. Another single judge disapproved of the very functioning and probe by an Special Investigation Team led by the state police and ordered the transfer of the investigation to the CBI.
