Telangana government transfers three collectors

HYDERABAD: Telangana government on Saturday transferred three districts collectors. Siddipet collector P Venkata Rami Reddy has been transferred and posted as Sangareddy collector. Present Sangareddy collector M Hanumanth Rao has been posted as Medak collector. Mancherial district collector Bharathi Holikeri is the new collector of Siddipet.
Dubbak assembly constituency, whose schedule for bypoll was released, comes under Siddipet constituency.
Official sources said the state government transferred Venkata Rami Reddy following the directions of Election Commission. Various political parties alleged that the Siddipet collector was favouring the ruling party in the election.
Venkat Rami Reddy has been working in the same district for the past four years barring few months during 2018 assembly elections.
The government in its orders said Adilabad collector Sikta Patnaik would act as incharge collector of Mancherial. Similarly, Karimnagar collector K Shashanka will hold additional charge as Peddapalli district.
