Telangana CM Revanth Reddy calls for 25-year plan to address water, infrastructure needs

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has instructed officials to develop extensive plans addressing the increasing drinking water demands of Hyderabad's urban core within the Outer Ring Road (ORR). These plans should also encompass drainage, roads, Metro connectivity, and elevated corridors, anticipating the city's growth over the next 25 years.

HYDERABAD: Chief minister A Revanth Reddy on Wednesday directed officials to come up with comprehensive plans to meet the drinking water supply needs of the growing population in the core urban region within the ORR limits."Prepare plans for drinking water supply, drainage, roads, Metro rail connectivity, and elevated corridors. These plans should be prepared keeping in mind the next 25 years in accordance with the needs of growing city population. Comprehensive policies will be brought, especially for core urban region," he told officials.The CM held a review meeting with the officials of the municipal administration and urban development department, GHMC, HMDA, HMWSSB, Future City Development Authority, Hyderabad Metro Rail, and Musi River Development Corporation.
