Telangana: CID escorts HCA president A Jagan Mohan Rao to Uppal Stadium; secretary still absconding

HYDERABAD: The Crime Investigation Department (CID) on Friday took HCA president A Jagan Mohan Rao to the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Uppal to collect evidence related to the funds misappropriation and forgery case registered against him and other accused.

Jagan Mohan Rao and other accused are under the six-day CID custody. As part of the investigation, the CID team interrogated them to gather further evidence regarding allegations of ₹2.3 cr funds misappropriation.

"We have seized documentary evidence related to the case in his presence," said a CID official. Interrogation of the remaining five accused continued for the second day at the CID office.

Meanwhile, R Devaraj, secretary of HCA, is still absconding, and the CID team is yet to locate his whereabouts. TNN
