HYDERABAD: The filing of nominations for the position of Telangana BJP president will be held on Monday. Party leaders have issued a notification inviting interested candidates to submit their nominations between 2 pm and 4 pm, with the option to withdraw them between 4 pm and 5 pm.According to sources, the new party president will be announced on Tuesday during a political gathering at a private function hall on the outskirts of the city. On Monday, Union minister of state Shobha Karandlaje, who is in charge of the Telangana BJP presidential election, will oversee the nomination process. The party will hold a state council meeting on Tuesday to formally announce the elected candidate, as the individual must be chosen through a unanimous vote. While several names have been circulating, party sources indicate that three candidates - Eatala Rajender, K Laxman, and N Ramchander Rao - are under consideration by high command. However, no leader has yet been endorsed.Sources say that MP Laxman has expressed his disinterest to top brass, though a final decision is still pending. "We will have a clearer understanding of who will become party chief after the nomination withdrawal period concludes," said a senior party leader.
