The chief minister did not go to receive prime minister on July 2. On earlier occasions too, KCR disrespected prime minister by not receiving him at the airport and not participating in the programmes attended by Narendra Modi.

Stating that both the CM and PM owe their allegiance to the Constitution of India, the BJP leader said those who took oath as per the constitution, should respect the posts.

"If KCR had any differences, he could discuss it on other platforms or resolve them in an amicable manner with the Centre. Telangana BJP strongly condemns the act of the CM not receiving the PM,” Narayana Reddy said.

People of Telangana are closely watching these events and would teach a lesson to the ruling TRS in the elections. "People of Telangana give a lot of importance to hospitality," he said.

The TRS has failed to fulfill its promise of making a Dalit as the CM, distribute three acres land to Dalits and 2-bhk units to all the homeless poor. " As a result, people are looking towards the BJP and have developed a bond with prime minister Narendra Modi," he said.

On the other hand, the Congress is losing ground in the state and BJP is emerging as the only alternative to the TRS, he added.
