HYDERABAD: Amid rising temperatures, beer lovers are staring at shortages of their favourite tipple in Telangana. With most liquor companies cutting down on the supplies owing to outstanding payments from the govt, beer is missing from the shelves of liquor stores across the state.
Sources told TOI that as against Rs 1,000 crore dues to the liquor manufacturing companies, breweries and distilleries, only Rs 100 crore has been paid by the excise department, and that too only to two companies.
