Telangana assembly elections 2018: KCR hits back, says Narendra Modi spreading lies

MAHBUBNAGAR: Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao too addressed a public rally at Mahbubnagar on Tuesday where he attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi. “I did not think Narendra Modi is such a senseless person to lie that there is a problem of power supply in the state,” he said in Nizamabad. “I dare him to fly down to Nizamabad. I will also reach there. I am ready to debate with him and call his bluff.”

KCR said it was sad that Modi was resorting to spreading lies just because of the elections. “It is so disgraceful that someone of the stature of a PM spreads falsehoods,” he said.

KCR speaks In English to drive home power point
Telangana Rashtra Samithi(TRS) supremo K Chandrasekhar Rao said that when Bhartiya Janata Party(BJP) national president Amit Shah had made irresponsible remarks, he had asked him to prove his claims or apologise unconditionally. He had also said he would quit if he substantiated the remarks made against the gover nment.

Throwing a challenge at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he said in English, “Mr Narendra Modi, there is no power problem in Telangana. You can’t lie and level false allegations against the chief minister of the state. I am not scared of anyone and that is why I am responding in English so that Modi gets the message. Am I Chandrababu Naidu to be scared?”

Chandrasekhar Rao also said that Narendra Modi and Naidu had hatched a conspiracy to dethrone the TRS government in 2014 and All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen MP Asaduddin Owaisi had informed him about it. The TRS president said there was a need to increase Muslim reservation because Muslim population in Telangana after bifurcation was 12% when compared to the 6% in undivided Andhra Pradesh.
