HYDERABAD: Many leaders from
Andhra Pradesh, including chief minister and TDP president
N Chandrababu Naidu, will be missing in action from the polling scene on Friday. Naidu and others, who have houses in Hyderabad and used to exercise their vote here, shifted their voter I-cards to AP, post-bifurcation, to enable them contest from Andhra Pradesh.

“Present MLAs have their vote in AP and those who are first-timers and looking to contest have shifted their vote to AP after getting their vote deleted from the voter list in
Telangana,” said sources .
MLC Jupudi Prabhakar Rao was caught in this imbroglio. He had his vote in Kukatpally when the TDP offered him an MLC seat. Since he didn’t have the vote in AP, he dropped out at that time. He later shifted his vote to AP and filed his nomination for the MLC seat.
Meanwhile, after completing his hectic campaign in Telangana, Naidu was busy with official functions in Amaravati and Tirupati on Thursday. Naidu, after participating in a programme where an MoU with Kia Motors was signed, left for the temple town of Tirupati.
