HYDERABAD: A software professional, who created a flutter by running naked on Road No. 3, Banjara Hills near Srinagar Colony T junction on Friday morning, was apprehended and shifted to Erragadda Mental Health Institute.
At around 7.30 am, cops received an alert from passers-by that a man was found in the buff at the T junction.
“He was later identified as Raksha Raj, 30. He works as a techie in Deloitte, Hi-Tec City. When our team tried to apprehend him, he attacked them. He was very difficult to control, so we had to tie him up. Later, we shifted him in a patrolling van to Erragadda hospital,” Banjara Hills inspector N Kalinga Rao said.
Police later found out that Raksha, a resident of Trimulgherry, has been disturbed mentally for the last three days over failure in love.
“His father said Raksha had left the home on Thursday and did not return,” the inspector said.
