HYDERABAD: In the HMWS&SB official records, TRS MLA
Babu Mohan's son Pavan Kumar Palli is notified as owner of a property (H No. 8-2-293/82/F/C-24) in Film Nagar. His dues ran up to Rs 4 lakh and the water connection falls under the commercial category. In fact, the water board had disconnected the connection on August 25, 2012, for not paying the dues.
With help of plumbers, he was drawing water illegally and dues mounted to Rs 4 lakh.
"Based on the orders of managing director Dana Kishore, we conducted a raid and found the illegal connection on his premises," HHMWS&SB chief vigilance officer M Ravi Chandra Reddy told TOI.
A raid was also conducted on the property of Madala Ravi, an actor in Tollywood, as he ran up dues of 3 lakh. A resident of (H No. 8-2-293/82/F/B-24) Film Nagar, the board disconnected the tap connection on September 24, 2014, when he did not clear the dues. He was also drawing water illegally. Tirupati, who took part in the raid, said.
As per records, 8,500 water connections, including domestic and commercial, have been disconnected in Banjara Hills and Jubilee Hills alone.
