Hyderabad: IT minister D Sridhar Babu assured that the govt would build toilet facilities in all govt educational institutions and hostels where needed and provide permanent buildings for institutions currently operating in rented spaces.
During a discussion in the assembly on Wednesday, responding to the issues raised by BJP MLA Paidi Rakesh Reddy, the minister gave the assurance and suggested a gentler tone when raising issues. Rakesh Reddy accepted the advice.
Meanwhile, MIM floor leader Akbaruddin Owaisi highlighted a decade-long lack of audits in minority welfare institutions. He called for filling Urdu-medium vacancies, better furniture, and a campus for special children in the old city.
