T vows toilets, permanent buildings for schools

Hyderabad: IT minister D Sridhar Babu assured that the govt would build toilet facilities in all govt educational institutions and hostels where needed and provide permanent buildings for institutions currently operating in rented spaces.During a discussion in the assembly on Wednesday, responding to the issues raised by BJP MLA Paidi Rakesh Reddy, the minister gave the assurance and suggested a gentler tone when raising issues. Rakesh Reddy accepted the advice.Meanwhile, MIM floor leader Akbaruddin Owaisi highlighted a decade-long lack of audits in minority welfare institutions. He called for filling Urdu-medium vacancies, better furniture, and a campus for special children in the old city.
