Swami exile: VHP, Bajrang Dal protest

HYDERABAD: Members of the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) and

Bajrang Dal

protested at the Hyderabad and Rangareddy collectorates, demanding the restriction imposed on Swami Paripoornananda from entering the city to be lifted.


Over 600 members protested, waving

saffron

flags and rasing slogans like Bharta Mata Ki Jai and Jai Shree Ram. Police arrested the protestors in an attempt to bring the situation under control. "The ban on Swami Paripoornananda should be lifted immediately. I condemn the act of police as they have arrested the people who are protesting peacefully," said BJP

general

secretary Chinta Sambamurthy.

"Total 108 preventive arrest were done and the situation was soon brought under control," said A Gangaram , circle inspector of Abids Police Station. ABVP and BJP leaders also participated in the protest.
