Sukender Reddy’s son Amit joins Congress

HYDERABAD: The exodus from the BRS continued on Monday with yet another leader Gutha Amit Reddy, son of Legislative Council Chairman Gutha Sukender Reddy, joining Congress. Amit joined Congress in presence of AICC in-charge of Telangana Deepa Dasmunsi. Gutha family enjoys considerable influence in Nalgonda.

Gutha Sukender Reddy recently criticised BRS for not taking up a serious review for its defeat in assembly polls. Congress leaders did not rule out the possibility of Sukender Reddy coming back to grand old party. However, the leader has not given any clarity.

Sukender asked for BRS ticket from Nalgonda LS seat for his son Amit, but KCR nominated Kancharla Krishna Reddy. Talk in BRS circles is ex-energy minister G Jagadish Reddy played a role in Amit not getting ticket.
