The path is the only way to reach the college and it has been submerged in water overflowing from

Madannapet

Cheruvu nearby. Students and faculty members say the problem has worsened owing to torrential rains over the past few weeks. The director of the college, Rangaiah, said, “Owing to the rains, people are not even able to see the other side of the stretch clearly. This path is not only used by students, but also villagers. At least 2,000 people pass through the stretch everyday.”

Most students travel 30 km from places like

Hanamkonda

, walk this path and then catch a college bus on the other side of the path daily.
