Stay put, be ready: Telangana roads and buildings minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy tells engineers to remain in HQs during monsoon for emergency response

HYDERABAD: Roads and buildings minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy on Wednesday directed officials to be available in their respective headquarters during the entire monsoon season to attend to emergencies.

"Advance preparations based on weather forecast is crucial. Stay put in your district headquarters and ensure day-to-day monitoring. Chief engineers at the state level and superintending and executive engineers at the district level should coordinate closely with field engineers to ensure road connectivity is not disrupted due to heavy rains or floods," he said at a review meeting.

He sought a full report on the progress of ongoing work within one week.
