State BJP ready to embrace 'deserters'
HYDERABAD: The BJP on Monday said it can''t support a separate Telangana demand as it has certain limitations and has to abide by the NDA agenda.
The party will, however, abide by the Kakinada resolution and review its stance before going to the next round of elections, according to newly-elected state unit chief N Indrasena Reddy.
Claiming that the BJP would be the only party which could carve out a separate state for Telangana, Indrasena Reddy said some leaders had deserted the party with varied reasons, but not on the Telangana issue.

The state unit would launch a special drive to rope in the party deserters and accordingly devise a programme to strengthen its base.
Speaking to The Times of India, Reddy said he would finalise the modalities after holding deliberations with senior leaders at the two-day Chintan Bhaitak at Nagarjuna Sagar from August 28 .
Commenting on the need for according top priority to the irrigation sector in the state, Indrasena Reddy alleged that the government had woken up only after the media highlighted the projects constructed by the neighbouring states on Krishna.
The state government''s indifferent attitude had been clearly reflected, especially on the Paragodu project and Manjira river issue, he said.
"All the Telangana projects under the Krishna basin are supplying water below its capacity and Mahabubnagar district is only getting six to seven tmc ft of water compared to its legitimate share of 15.90 tmc ft. Supplying water from the Jurala project to the district would not be the right option," he said.
