HYDERABAD: An MCH contract worker who was spurned by a girl committed suicide in Saroornagar on Wednesday.
K Vara Prasad, 26, a contract worker of MCH at Sardar Mahal in the Old City, was a resident of Vasavi colony in Ramakrishnapuram. Vara Prasad reportedly fell in love with a girl from the same locality.
According to police, he reportedly approached the girl with a marriage proposal.

However, the girl rejected it, leaving Vara Prasad in a depressed state.
On Wednesday night, he hanged himself to death in his house while others were away.
In another incident, a 26-year-old person committed suicide on Thursday at Malkajgiri. Devender Reddy, 26, a native of Karimnagar, migrated to the city and was working in a DTP centre owned by his friend at Radha Krishna Nagar in Malkajgiri.
Devender Reddy was found hanging from the ceiling fan in the DTP centre on Thursday.
Police said the reason behind the suicide could be ascertained only after his parents arrive in the city. In another case of suicide, a woman took the extreme step after a quarrel with her husband over financial matters.
Susheela, 24, a resident of Sai Nagar in Madhapur, had a fight with her husband Sanjay Kumar Mallik over financial matters. Following the argument, Susheela hanged herself to death. The couple was from Orissa.
