Specialty nursing courses launched

Health Alliance, the UK-based consortium of top universities in association with a city hospital launched specialty nursing courses for nursing staff on Friday.

The first batch of 325 nurses from CARE Hospital will be trained in emergency nursing, critical care nursing and operation theatre nursing with an aim to help them manage patients on a par with international standards and improve the level of patient care.

At the inauguration, Andrew Fleming, British deputy high commissioner to Telangana and Andhra Pradesh said the partnership would help get more skilled nurses in India which can improve patient care and experience in hospitals. “I am pleased to see a good association between both countries,” he added.
