Sneha Singh soared to her second pro title with an eagle three on the closing hole for a one-shot victory in the fifth leg of the Hero Women’s Pro Golf Tour in Gurugram on Saturday. The Hyderabadi finished with a 54-hole total of eight-under 208, one ahead of the fast finishing Gaurika Bishnoi (68). Bengaluru’s Jasmine Shekar (73) settled for the third spot with an aggregate of even-par 216.
The 18-year-old golfer, who got her first win as a pro in the third leg of this season, now has two wins as a pro and became the first multiple winner this season.
Sneha is a BA II year student of St Ann’s College and also a student player from Hyderabad Golf Association.
She began the day two shots ahead of Gaurika and maintained the lead till the turn as both were 1-under for the front nine. On the back nine both birded the 11th and then
Sneha went three shots ahead as Gaurika bogeyed the 14th.
In a reversal of fortunes, Gaurika birded the par-4 on the very next hole while Sneha bogeyed it. Gaurika then drew level with another birdie on par-3 at 16th.
