Smriti Irani misled public: V Hanumantha Rao

HYDERABAD: Senior Congress leader and Rajya Sabha member V Hanumantha Rao on Thursday charged the BJP government with trying to turn educational institutions into havens of right-wing organisations like the ABVP . Responding to Union HRD minister Smriti Irani's claims, Rao reiterated that she misled the public by citing the example of his letter to her.
“I wrote to her on November 17, 2014, urging her to take action against those indulging in corruption in UoH.Leave alone taking action, there was no response to the letter, whereas she showed such an alacrity to respond to Bandaru Dattatreya's letter,“ Rao said at a press conference.
