Siddipet Telangana constituency election results live:Thanneeru Harish Rao of BRS defeats Pujala Hari Krishna of Indian National Congress by a huge margin of 82,308 votes.
In the ongoing election, Thanneeru Harish Rao of the BRS is currently leading against Dudi Srikanth Reddy of the BJP and Poojala Harikrishna of the Indian National Congress (INC) in the Siddipet Constituency.
Siddipet, a rural seat nestled within the Siddipet district in the North Telangana region of Telangana, holds significant electoral importance as part of the Medak Lok Sabha/Parliamentary constituency.
Among the 1,91,936 voters in Siddipet, 96,118 are male and 95,799 are female. The constituency witnessed a commendable 79% voter turnout in 2018, marking an increase from 74.63% in 2014. In the 2018 state elections, Thanneeru Harish Rao, representing the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS), secured a resounding victory with a total of 1,31,295 votes.
The second position was held by TJS leader Bhavani Marikanti, garnering 12,596 votes, trailing behind by a substantial margin of 1,18,699 votes. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) secured the third position with 11,266 votes. In the 2014 elections, Thanneeru Harish Rao claimed victory with 1,08,6.
According to the Delimitation Commission's 2008 report, Siddipet constituency in Telanaga has an estimated Scheduled Caste (SC) population of 14.46% and an estimated Scheduled Tribe (ST) population of 1.25%. The district's estimated literacy level is 61.61%, according to the Census of India, 2011.
As of the 2023 Telangana Assembly elections, the constituency has a total of 2,28,523 eligible electors, comprising 1,12,934 males, 1,15,520 females, and 69 registered voters belonging to the third gender.
