HYDERABAD: Health problems reportedly forced two siblings to commit suicide at their house in Old Ramanthapur on Thursday afternoon.At about 1.30 pm, Kavita, 29, and her younger brother Narasimha, 27, committed suicide by consuming poison.According to Uppal police, Kavita, who is mentally unstable, was abandoned by her husband three months ago and was staying with her mother Devamma at Old Ramanthapur.
Devamma works as a domestic help.
Narasimha, who was suffering from a heart disease and epilepsy, was also staying with his mother.On Thursday afternoon, when Devamma returned from work, she saw Kavitha lying dead in the house. Narasimha, who was in an unconscious state, also died after some time."We suspect that Kavitha and Narasimha consumed poison due to health problems," Uppal inspector of police B Bhaskar said.Police registered a case under section 174 (Suspicious death) of Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC) and shifted the bodies for postmortem.
