HYDERABAD: If determination and enthusiasm among the minority community students in the state remains like what it is at present, by 2010 the community can achieve excellence in all fields, editor of The Siasat Daily Zahid Ali Khan said.
He was speaking at ‘Siasat excellence award’ function organised to honour meritorious minority students for their outstanding performance in IIT-JEE, Eamcet, medical, BITS, Intermediate and SSC for 2002.

During the occasion, 11 SSC students were given gold medals, 26 silver medals and 231 students were given mementos and certificates.
In Intermediate category 11 students were given gold medals, 29 silver while 405 students received mementos and certificates. In engineering category three students were given gold medals for excelling in IIT-JEE and similar number of gold medals were given to students who excelled in BITS entrance.
Twenty gold medals were given to students who qualified in engineering stream of Eamcet, while 21 gold medals were given to the students who qualified in medicine stream of Eamcet. The CDFD director Syed Hasnain gave the prizes.
