Shah reviews anti-Maoist operations with Revanth
Hyderabad: Union home minister Amit Shah held a key meeting with Telangana chief minister A Revanth Reddy and senior police officials from the state to assess Maoist activities and ongoing security operations.
The meeting was attended by director general of police B Shivadhar Reddy, intelligence chief Vijay Kumar, and special intelligence branch inspector general B Sumathi.
During the interaction, Revanth presented a detailed report on Maoist surrenders in the state and recent developments in anti-Maoist operations. The discussions focused on coordination between the Centre and Telangana police in tackling Left-Wing Extremism.
Amit Shah is learnt to have said that the Telangana police had extended cooperation to ‘Operation Kagar', the anti-Maoist drive currently underway in the region. He asked the state police to continue their support until the operation concludes and ensure that the remaining Maoists are encouraged to surrender.
Shah asserted Naxalism would be eradicated from the country by March 31, and that no citizen should have to lose their life because of it. Reiterating the Centre's resolve to eliminate Left-Wing Extremism in Feb 2025, Shah had fixed March 31, 2026, as the deadline to bring an end to Naxalism nationwide.
Revanth also briefed the home minister on the proposal to establish a Future City police commissionerate in the state. He sought an increase in the IPS cadre strength allocated to Telangana.

The Central Home minister 's strategy of Operation Kagar is indeed a laudatoy venture .Even the CM of Telangana has expressed his Govt's venture of dispensing with Left-Wing Extremism which must be appreciated by everyone in the State.Besides ,the Voters and intellectuals must write vastly on extremism that must be dispensed with with the immediate effect. The Truth is that with the fall of Berlin Wall in 1989 Communism perished in the entire world.Even in the late sixties Naxalism did not achieve anything. In the light of the aforesaid, Shah must instil a sense of oneness of the country. So there is a desperate need for warning RSS and Bhajarangadal workers not to paralyse the normal motion of life in the society around us At the international level there are 11 Incorrigible Terrorist Groups which must be smashed with the immediate effect.Trump and Netanyahu have been doing their best in annulling the International Terrorist Groups.Let us educated the Indians to shirk Left-Wing Extremism and toil and moil in earning daily bread by rejecting the Freebies given by the Governments.I entreat intellectuals like Kannabhiram and others to conduct special camps to rouse the consciousness of the masses towards participatory Democracy.Read allPost comment
