7 peddlers held with 114 kg ganja

Hyderabad: Seven persons were arrested by the Hyderabad-Narcotics Enforcement Wing (HNEW) for peddling ganja in Kachiguda. The officials seized 114 kg of ganja from their possession. HNEW officials said the arrested accused — Balaji Govid, A Prakash Kumar, M Mohan Rao, Durga Hari Prasad, K Ramana, L Gangadhar and T Gangadhar — are all residents of Anakapalli district in Andhra Pradesh.The accused purchased ganja from Vizag agency, transported it to Hyderabad and sold it at a higher price to people in need. All these accused have a history of ganja peddling. One of the accused was also arrested for uttering counterfeit currency.
