HYDERABAD: A division bench of the Hyderabad HC comprising Acting Chief Justice Ramesh Ranganathan and Justice A Shankar Narayana on Thursday said it will take up hearing of the public interest petition that challenged the decision of the Telangana government to demolish existing buildings in the secretariat complex.
Responding to a mention that it should be heard in view of the urgency , the bench said it will consider taking it up on Friday.
This case was filed by Congress MLA T
Jeevan Reddy who charged the state with resorting to demolitions and irresponsible spending of public money on irrelevant and unscientific considerations like vaastu etc. “This cannot be a ground for constructing new buildings“, he said.
