Maddela Lakshmi works as a

sanitary worker

at a local vegetable market. She was cleaning the trash in the market on Tuesday night when she discovered a small envelope in the dustbin. There was Rs 1 lakh in cash in that envelope. She kept the cash with her and went to her house.
She came to the market in the morning with the amount the next day.

She saw a man who anxiously searched near the dustbin for something. She asked him about what he was looking for. He told that his name was

Javed

and he was a chicken shop owner there and had left cash in the market.

Javed said that he had put the money in an envelope in his pocket while closing his shop. He had another cover also with him with some waste things. But mistakenly he threw off the envelope with cash in the dustbin.

In recognition of her honesty, Javed presented her Rs 5,000 as a reward.
