Hyderabad: After failing to trace the whereabouts of a kidnapped B Pharmacy student for six days, Hayathnagar police have announced a reward of Rs 1 lakh for anyone who provides information about the whereabouts of the accused or the victim.
On July 23, the accused, A Ravi Sekhar, 47, a native of Davalarugudem in Krishna district, posed as a doctor and kidnapped a 21-year-old B Pharmacy student after convincing her family members that he would help her to secure a job.
He took the victim in a white Hyundai i20 car to an undisclosed location.
After the family members lodged a complaint with the Hayathnagar police, special teams started scouring the two Telugu states and Karnataka in search of the accused but, but have been unable to locate him so far.
On Sunday, Rachakonda police issued an official release, announcing the reward of Rs 1 lakh to anyone who provides information about the whereabouts of the accused.
