HYDERABAD: Traffic has been moving at a snail’s pace between Ameerpet and SR Nagar and

Kukatpally

in the last few days due to the ongoing road work close to

Erragadda

flyover.

Traffic cops

said commuters will have to put up with the inconvenience for 10 more days.

Although an advisory was issued that work would be completed in 3-4 days, senior traffic police officials told STOI that completion of work will be delayed due to rains. “GHMC’s executive engineers told us that it will take 10 more days to complete the work. GHMC is planning to lay paver blocks since the area is prone to waterlogging. Due to rains, silt and debris have accumulated at the site and needs to be removed before the paver blocks can be laid,” said S Vinod Kumar, ACP, Balanagar traffic division of Cyberabad police.

Slow movement of traffic is seen at ESI Hospital, Erragadda and Bharat Nagar flyover, from Erragadda junction to Gokul Theatre, Bharat Nagar flyover,

Moosapet

towards Kukatpally, from SR Nagar MeeSeva centre to Metro station at Erragadda, from Mythrivanam to Erragadda and from Erragadda signal to Moosapet junction.

Those who want to travel towards Kukatpally via Ameerpet and SR Nagar have been urged to go via Bowenpally or Hi-tec City. Many commuters have taken to social media to complain about the severe traffic congestion on the stretch.
