Rider dies, 1 hurt as bike, tanker collide near Dundigal

HYDERABAD: A biker died and pillion rider suffered injuries after their two-wheeler was involved in an accident with a tanker. The accident happened at Church Gagillapur near Dundigal on Sunday.
The incident took place at 6.45am. B Lokesh, 21, a resident of Sangareddy, died on the spot, while his friend Kranti Kumar suffered injuries. The two friends were travelling towards Maisammaguda.On their journey their bike collided with a tanker on the road, cops said.
“We are yet to ascertain which vehicle hit the other. After the two persons fell off the two-wheeler, Lokesh came under the rear wheels of the tanker,” Dundigal police said.
Police said a case was registered under Section 304-a (negligence causing death) of the Indian Penal Code and investigation was being done to find out the reasons behind why the accident took place, police personnel said.
