Today the debris that gets collected in the pool and the mosquitoes that breed in the pond have become a major health hazard for the children and other residents living here. The pond is of no use to people and, in fact is a threat to their lives. There have been several instances of children falling into the pond. The residents have requested the MCH to fence the pond as a safety measure but the authorities have failed to even visit the area.
