HYDERABAD: Wondering as to why legislators, whose job is to bring in laws, interfere in the process of administration, a division bench of the AP High Court on Thursday suspended the transfer order of K Hymavathy, RDO Machilipatnam and issued notices to a state minister and two legislators for their alleged role in getting her shifted.
The bench comprising Justice Ghulam Mohammad and Justice P V Sanjay Kumar while hearing a petition filed by the RDO who charged legislators Perni Nani and B Vedavyas with writing letters to the government to shift her and local minister Mandali Budha Prasad with supporting the legislators.
Earlier, her plea to retain her at Machilipatnam was dismissed by the AP Administrative Tribunal.
Magistrate suspendedThe AP High Court on Thursday placed PBSSLN Murthy Raju, the third additional judicial first class magistrate of Kakinada, under suspension with immediate effect following a petition that questioned his caste status. According to the petitioner A Vincent of Vizianagaram, Raju secured his post in the judiciary through a bogus caste certificate.
