Hyderabad: Sri Rama Navami was celebrated on a grand scale in the temple town of Bhadrachalam on Thursday as thousands of people thronged the famed Sri Sita Ramachandraswamy shrine to witness the celestial wedding.
Devotees started pouring into the temple town on Wednesday itself as the town was decorated and illuminated on the occasion of Rama Navami.

Kothagudem DSP Vineeth, collector Anudeep and others monitored the arrangements.
In other parts of the state, the festivities were organised on a grand note with devotees participating in large numbers. In Nizamabad, minister Vemula Prashanth Reddy took part in the celebrations at Pochampad Ramalayam. In Illandakunta, devotees thronged the temple to watch the wedding ceremony.
